    Thumbs up 1 hit knife suggestion

    I have recently asked admins why there is no lore skins for knives, they said it looks like the 1 hit knife. I also know in the danger zone they added weapon models for hammers. My suggestion the 1 hit hammer. I have heard some support for this idea. There is some leaway as there is other weapon models in the files. Thanks you for reading this have a great day. TTT FOR LIFE

    This would be a huge nerf to the 1 hit knife, where Ts need to already be very sneaky about who they choose to knife and when to strike. A huge hammer would make it so obvious, and if it acts like how the gold knife is currently, Ts won't have a knife to run with.

    I want to add to this, could be right or wrong here but aren't the danger zone melee weapons just reskins of the knife? Having a reskin of a simple melee weapon that could be potentially bigger wouldn't make anything stealthy for the traitor's one-hit weapon. That's literally the strong suit of a knife; small, simple and hard to spot if you're not ready for it.

    Yes, but a hammer would be much easier to spot than a slightly yellow knife, especially at a distance. I'm saying that Ts would be completely forced to run with a pistol or rifle out instead of their hammer since it would easily give them away.

    the whole point of the one hit knife is to be lowkey and get an easy kill without anyone noticing. most of the time you can probably still run around with it unnoticed. changing it to a hammer or axe would make it super obvious and you would be killed as quickly as if you had an awp. I dont see the need for this if the only reason is so people can use the lore skin again.

    I could be wrong but isn't there a way where you can switch from a hammer to knife like how you can switch from a healthshot to a knife

    yes but just like the gold knife, the hammer would replace your real knife, making you unable to switch to it. And we can't just make the Ts have both, that'd be OP

    This has been discussed a great deal, and most of the solutions have been shelved for the new plugin. The 1 hit knife is already fairly balanced, as even though it is essentially a free kill it has many downsides. If you aren't one hundred percent sure of your target, you'll be completely defenceless and can be killed for t-bait. The only real issue I have with the 1 hit knife is ghost knifing, but the best thing to do for now is to deal with its shortcomings and wait for the new plugin. If you're a skilled gold knifer you can easily get multiple kills with it and people won't even bat

    edit: Realized I read the post wrong. The purpose of the 1 hit knife is for cheeky (hopefully) unnoticed kills. It is one of the many items in a Traitor's arsenal to get kills under the radar such as the M4A1-S, the USP-S, and the MP5SD. Making a 1 hit knife more obvious than a bright yellow skin would be like making everything a traitor can buy KOSable and would be a huge nerf to the item. Personally, I don't see a reason to change it from its current state.

    Gold knife and its rule surrounding it has brought so many accidental rdms and misunderstandings.

    I killed many people for thinking that they had gold knife and I got killed countless times by the gold knife thinking that it might not be a gold knife.

    It also allows many people in our server to intentionally change their knife skin to something that closely resembles the gold knife to trick players.

    changing the one-hit-knife to one-hit-(insert melee weapon here) would change the technique of using the gold knife radically. It also would not be gold knife anymore.

    Golf knife in the server are being used in various methods but most commonly:
    1. quick swapping to golf knife and killing detective when everyone is adhd bhopping in the early stage of the round
    2. approaching the last inno with the gold knife as an extra insult to injury
    3. to stalk and kill one person over and over again to tilt them
    4. standing in the corner and use it as a bait to kill whoever is chasing them

    gold knife doesn't give as much advantage as kevlar or m4a1s or healthshot. Those who use it use it almost exclusively to embarass the victim. Only time i see it being really useful is when the user is utilizing the gold knife as a surprise one hit weapon in which swapping the skin to something more obvious would not impact its usability

    Im split on this vote however I will go ahead and say yes to changing the gold knife to something more easy to spot and get rid of potentially unnecessary drama.
