Website Overhaul

vbulletin suggestions - dont even bother right now unless super imperative for short term

no real reason to add anything to it as we are going away from it within a month or two

 

Rank Changes

Been stuck at a stagnant spot for a while, so a rank change mightve been good

People didnt want to follow chain of SA, CA, AO so it discouraged people

Wanted to make ranks more of a specific duty so people didnt have too many responsibilities

Managers were good in theory but not good in reality - trying to allow more autonomy for the IA team

Need to rename SR to CA and add IA to members list

 

 

Community Choices

Someone in their rank may seek outside advice on decisions but not that might not be their decision

Its not, we're going to vote on this and thats going to be the raw numbers we use

Entrust rank groups with decisions for the reason that they know what to do

Always factor in outside advice on decisions but sometimes may take a risk against the community input

 

Admin applications

In no way think that 10 posts is the end goal of post requirements

Have had pretty much every which way in how to apply admin applications

Board has been busy for months and don't think 10 posts is going to stay forever

Wanted to get something done and made a decision to get more admins and applications through

Probably going to keep it around 25-50 posts

Not arbitrarily changing the numbers and things around, trying to use data to justify

 

Specific Rules

Different communities have different rules on swearing or anything

Racist restrictions eliminates a group of people from joining SG that we don't necesarily want as it promotes racism

Some communities dont have that happen, but its a general thought from Caution's opinion he's formed

 

Respect

Not everyone is going to like Caution or agree with him all the time or whoever and thats fine

Shouldnt be going in the shoutbox and starting shit there, or making everything public

No reason to call out a specific group, but we are starting to be harsher on it now

Not going to let someone go into shoutbox and be mean to anybody in any sort of way

 

Demotions/Punishments

People are being rude and constantly fucking up, going to deal with them

Try to be logical in most situations and be easy on people if they have a good history

If someone fucks up once or twice we're not going to punish them as harshly versus if they are being an ass the whole time

Going to take people more seriously if they are constantly putting in effort and respect
