[Answered] Previewing Item Shop In-Game

I have noticed that for a while now you cannot preview items in the shop in-game, and for players that do not use the forums they do not know what they are buying. Can this be fixed?

Once upon a time it was working but it doesnt seem to anymore. Something borked in the last 6 months. I know there is a link to all of the items with pictures on the forum. Maybe someone can find it because I lost it?

The reason why you cannot preview items in game anymore is because of valve. Pretty sure that during one of their updates, he motd system broke. This is what the in game shop previews relied on so you cannot do this anymore. Just refer people to this like if they ask to see shop items.

I think maybe the "preview" option should just put a link in chat pm'ing you and giving this link. Would be simple to do and make sense

Yeah I agree but this mean you’d need to open your browser to view it, this is pretty incovienant
