    Jailbreak Rules and FAQ

We've completely redone our rules thread, so please take the time to look at the Changelog for information about the updates. Also check out the FAQ post below.

Jailbreak is a roleplay mod where CTs are guards and Ts are prisoners. The guards order the prisoners around, but can't shoot them if they're following orders and not attacking. The goal is for Ts to rebel & take control of the prison by killing every CT.

    General Server Rules:

    • Respect all admins and players alike.
    • No spamming of any kind (voice or chat).
    • Racism rule up to discretion of administrators. No racist words allowed in steam names or clan tags.
    • Do not have confusing names or names that can't be pronounced, subject to admin discretion (includes invisible & foreign characters).
    • No advertising other servers, clans or websites.
    • Do not evade or avoid punishment.
    • No hacking/scripting. This includes hyperscrolling, aimbot, wallhacks etc.
    • No ghosting (this includes stream sniping).
    • No teamkilling in any form (applies to both CT and T).
    • No exploiting. This includes retrying, glitching out of the map, etc.
    • Do not abuse the !calladmin command by reporting players for fake reasons.
    • Do not point farm (hotkeying, afking, scripting) while afk or not playing.

    Definitions of common terms:

Detouring - When a prisoner does not follow a direct path to the location stated in the order.
Delaying - When a prisoner does not follow an order as fast as they can.
    KOS - kill on sight
Warning shots - 1-99 damage dealt by a CT using any means
T Orders - orders given by a T to intentionally confuse their teammates.
Baiting - doing something that a CT would never do if they’re trying to stay alive.
Gunplanting - when a CT gives a T a gun when it’s not their LR.
AFK Freeze - an order CT’s cannot give, orders the Ts to freeze without moving at all.
Reasonable Orders - an order that is straightforward, clear, to the point, easy to understand, not meant to confuse or trick, and gives the prisoners enough time to follow.
Catwalks - Catwalks are defined as solid walking platforms that only connect directly to the armory.
Freezing - When told to freeze you are to stay in the same spot, if you were crouched stay crouching, if you were standing stay standing. You may look around unless told otherwise.
Blatantly Disobeying - when prisoners act in a way that would make you lose track of them, and overall makes your job as a CT harder because you have to shift your focus from the main group, to the disobeying prisoner.

    General Rules for Prisoners:

    • Rebelling is when a prisoner: picks up a primary weapon, draws/equips a pistol/zeus, harms/kills a CT, breaks out of a cell, blatantly disobeys or enters a KOS zone:

    KOS zones include:
    - Areas or things that connect to armory (armory catwalks, armory stairs, etc.)
    - SOME Teleporters (see FAQ post below)
    - Armory
    - Vents
    - Invisible Walls/Objects/Buttons/Ladders (invisible ladders are KOS unless they can't be avoided)
    - Secrets

    • Prisoners cannot give orders to other prisoners. Guards can warning shot then kill for this and admins can punish for it.

    General Rules for Guards:

    • CTs cannot harm Ts unless orders are not being fulfilled or they're rebelling.
    • CTs must give reasonable orders and shouldn't repeat the same orders often.
    • CTs must be actively enforcing orders or assisting their team. (subject to admin discretion)
    • CTs cannot obstruct a T's ability to follow the orders. Subject to admin discretion.
    • CTs are not allowed to purposely make attempts at getting themselves knifed by Ts, subject to admin discretion. In any case though, a T is KOS for having damaged a CT.
    • CTs cannot give special orders in text chat, they must be over voice chat.
    • Warning shots (1 Shot, 1-99 DMG) are required unless the T is rebelling or blatantly disobeying orders. After a warning shot is given if the T keeps disobeying the same order they can be killed.
    • The last CT is not required to give warning shots to prisoners that aren't obeying.
    • CTs are NEVER required to give freedays, and they can be revoked at any time. All other orders override a freeday.
    • CTs can kill Ts for being on a ladder/stair if it is KOS. Ladders/stairs are apart of what they connect to which means if a ladder/stair leads to armory, it is KOS.
    • CTs do not have to honor pardons or promises to rebelling Ts.
    • CTs are only allowed to give the off-mic order for 15 seconds at a time. This should only be used when they’re attempting to give an order, but the Ts are being too loud to do so.
    • CTs can use special orders, but cannot abuse them. Special orders can be overridden without counting as a conflicting order.
    • Chat orders can be overridden without counting as a conflicting order.
    • CTs aren't allowed to enforce or create their own KOS rules! This means CT's cannot bypass warning shots for situations that call for them, despite saying otherwise.
    • CTs are not allowed to order T's to have a warday.
    • CTs cannot declare themselves warden, wardens do not exist on this server.
    • CTs who take first order, give your orders. Do not use the time to speak about other topics.
    • CTs cannot give Freedays or Special Orders while !fo is active, this includes the person who takes First Order.
    • CTs cannot use gun name tags as evidence. However, they can use the kill log.
    • CTs have to open the cells by a reasonable time.
    • CTs cannot gunplant (giving a T a gun when it’s not their LR.)
    • Conflicting orders are any orders that conflict with a previously given order. Revoking a freeday for another order or adding restrictions is not conflicting.
    • CTs do not have to say “no detouring/delaying”, it is automatically implied.
    • CTs are allowed to kill a T for throwing a grenade at them if there was a reasonable attempt to harm or kill the CT. The same applies for when a T is chasing a CT and knifing at him.
    • CTs are not allowed to tell Ts to AFK Freeze.

Rules for Last Requests and Deathgames:

    • CTs cannot force a death-game when there are 4 or less Ts alive. CTs must, to the best of their ability, cease the death-game if it gets to this number.
    • CTs cannot force a death-game before the clock hits 2:30.
    • CTs can only force the Ts to play a death-game for 45 seconds at a time.
    • CTs can only force map made death-games. The map made death-game must give the Ts a reasonable chance to live.
    • CTs must allow the map death-game to function as intended and must not interfere at all.
    • CTs must let the map made death-game do the damaging/killing. CTs cannot use forced death-games to gain points from kills.
    • LRs can be forced when there are 4 or less Ts left alive.
    • A CT is not allowed to cheat or delay during an LR. A prisoner who cheats or delays during their LR is KOS.
    • CTs cannot interfere with LRs they are not participating in.
    • Last Requests must be reasonable, cannot be timed, cannot last the remainder of the round and must be agreed to by a CT. If a prisoner's LR is interrupted, they may request another one.
    • LRs are considered to be complete when the prisoner and/or participating CT dies. A T may request to continue his Lr after it is complete, but CTs are not required to honor this request and the T may be killed.
    • A prisoner is allowed to harm/kill the participating CT if their LR implies that the CT can be harmed/killed. The prisoner can be killed if they rebel (i.e. shooting another CT during s4s)
