I’m looking for a laptop than I can do pretty much everything you can think of on it. Gaming whise and school work wise. Anyone know and good ones that are worth I’d say like around 1200?

Honestly go to new egg and you can search up whatever laptop you want with whatever specs. Mine cost me 1k and it has a i7-7700/GTX 1060/1 TB HDD/ and a 16 GB DDR4 memory

This HP Omen is cheap and you are getting a lot more than what you pay for, I used the older version of the Omen for years and It did everything, I can only imagine what the New Omen can do.

Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/2018-HP-15-CE018DX-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B07CKHGWY9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1533650543&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=hp+omen+laptop&psc=1

It is sleek, so you can even take it to class :) / and you can also do work with it. It is an all in one package.

Here are the specs:

Screen Size: 15.6 inches

Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Max Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Processor: 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

RAM: 8 GB SDRAM

Hard Drive: 1 TB SATA

Graphics Coprocessor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

Chipset Brand: NVIDIA

Card Description: Dedicated

Graphics Card Ram Size: 8 GB

Wireless Type: Bluetooth, 802.11.ac, 802.11bgn

Seems to be an error on the website as the GTX 1050 isn't available with 8GB GDDR5 (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1050/)

Regarding the laptop I'd much rather recommend spending 1200 on something like this: https://www.amazon.com/HP-i7-8750H-Processor-Anti-Glare-15-dc0030nr/dp/B07CZCFGX8/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

You can most likely find something better, I don't really know gaming laptops but quick overview as to why it's better/what you want to look for: 16GB ram instead of 8GB - if you want anything running besides your game you'll want more than 8GB nowadays. Besides that it's a better graphics card for more demanding games. Most importantly though it has an SSD for the operating system which will speed up boot up time tremendously.

That's actually one hell of a deal, to be frank. Just be aware that you're not going to get as good a battery life as, say, a Surface Pro. That's just the reality we live in right now, high performance = high drainage.
