This is the laptop I have:

https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-15-7577-Laptop/dp/B077H3889J

Pros:

- Cheapest VR ready laptop on the market from what I saw

- Boot time takes less than 10 seconds

- Can play basically every game at 60 FPS+ (minus some VR)

- 3 USB 3.0 ports, which should be enough for a laptop, and plenty of other ports

Cons:

-Very loud fan

-A bit bulky for a laptop

I'm sure there are better options considering your $1200 budget, but just wanted to give you an ide

Edit: Oh shoot, this was actually from a month ago, if this is still relevant than here you go, but if you already bought a laptop, blame @hazz xD

My dad owns this laptop and says it has a good bang for the buck, but it is at the top of your price range, though. A 1060 with an i7 and at 16GB RAM I think it will serve you well.

My experience-

I have used this model when my dad got it from one of his clients to fix, it is a top notch engineering laptop that easily run all games, I ran csgo at about 250-350 frames on medium settings. To be honest for a low price of 1,099 + free shipping it is truly a nutty laptop
