Devil's advocate just for the hell of it, most CT's are incompetent to the point where you can get away with killing them using right-clicks from the start. You'll loose health for sure and maybe even die but I'd say 60% of the time or more you will end up winning the fight.
Just saying i've been able to pull shit from other people's cells on that map (and at least 1 other map too) if they don't pick it up immediately, I try that every round too. Some rounds I've pulled both the USP and a grenade [makes me feel nice and good knowing I just stole some other T's weapon].
And on Pyro's point from CSS. Yeah but times have changed. Most CT's I see don't play like you. They simply don't have the aim you, phonicz, rawrie or a few notable others have (still pissed on that 3-0 shit, Rawr, I want a rematch). For example a few weeks ago on lego, I just went through 2 CT's with little trouble. I had CT right above on top cells who saw this and emptied an entire clip at me and missed every shot. I was able to safely get away. I feel this is pretty common PB. Some people take 2 or 3 shots to actually hit someone with a warning shot, or just never hit someone.
That being said T side also seems to have fairly bad aim overall too, myself included. I understand exrev's point on giving the CT's an advantage cuz they can't aim/incompetent, it seems a little unfair to give an advantage to compensate for said reasons. However I think we usually win most maps anyway despite the advantage given. The initial rebelling part requires a more cunning to get at least 1 or 2 CT's but once that happens unless someone skilled is playing or someone camps a bit T's usually win.
All in all, armor should stay regardless the CT's clearly need it. The helmet however I couldn't care less whether its kept or removed. Could be fun though and worth a shot to see if its liked.
As an idea, how bout we hold a vote? Or try it for a week or make it a special event (like when trying out new maps) and see if there is any major flak regarding the change. This way it can be tested to see if it actually breaks gameplay rather than speculating. Then afterwards we hold a poll and see how well people like the change overall, this could be immediately in game if its an event or on the forums if done out over a week.
Then based on those results we keep the change or revert it back to with helmets unless of course it does significantly change gameplay in a negative way, in which course the change is immediately undone.
