If you are using a WIRELESS controller, make sure you have the WIRELESS USB receiver connected to computer and all the drivers installed. Connect the headset to controller as normal. Same goes for WIRED controller, sans the receiver. BTW: I have done this before with Vista so I can verify it. Link to comment
