I have a bad PC with good addictions so I want to upgrade my mother board and still be able to transfer my card, ram, hard drive, and cd drive.

I have motherboard mcp61pm2ma

Processor AMD Sempron™ Processor 3600+

Package Socket AM2 (940)

Ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231098

Video Card PNY Verto GeForce 8500 GTPNY

If you need more info just tell me what and sorry for being a nerd noob >_>

Here's the Review of that processor, and here's the link on Newegg.

It's a deactivated item, so it must be pretty old. I'd consider looking for a newer one.

Oh wait....These are what you HAVE! You're looking for newer hardware, right? Wow, I fail...I'll check out some places for newer stuff. :cursing:

That's a good deal on that RAM. Nice find :thumbup1:

Got any links of the CPU and motherboard?

I suggest you get the DFI P35-T2RS motherboard and a E8400 CPU and you're set.

All your other components will fit in without any probs.

I have a dfi lp lt p35 t2r with my x3110 (same as e8400 w/ Xeon brand) and that's a sweet combo. DFI+e8400 is a good choice.

Just make sure your CPU is compatible. That AMD is a socket 939 and the dfi is for intel socket 775.
