It seamlessly combines shooter and RTS/strategy gameplay. How can SG benefit from a Natural Selection 2 Server? Natural Selection 2 Servers are very easy to maintain. They require little to no server maintenance or game administration. The Natural Selection 2 community is very friendly, and amazing throughout over 200 hours of ingame experience, I have yet to witness a hacker or spammer. Populating a server is very easy. The most popular Natural Selection 2 servers do it by simply having someone go afk 24/7 in the server. Its one of those games where if someone is in a server, its going to fill up fast. I personally pledge that if SG is to get an NS2 server, I will be sure to make it populated. The only con about a Natural Selection 2 server is that funding it can be rough. The only way I see this being viable is if we already have enough room on the Dedicated Server. That does not mean it is impossible to get donations from a Natural Selection 2 server however. Other servers have successfully funded multiple NS2 servers by offering Reserved Slots. Everyone is looking for a server with no lag, that always has players on it. We could easily become one of the Key NS2 servers that everyone wants on. Other than bringing new players through Natural Selection 2, servers in other games makes SG look much more attractive to people who recently joined or are checking out the Forums. It means they won't be limited to just Source Games when playing on SG servers. For those of you that have not yet tried NS2, I greatly recommend it. Spiritwind Posted September 3, 2013 Content Count: 1257 Joined: 02/07/10 Status: Offline Share Posted September 3, 2013 NS2 isn't extremely popular, mainly because the Development Studio is just starting out, and they cannot afford to mass advertise. However, the playerbase it does have is very stable. At the time of writing this, NS2 shows 4,000 players in game. One of the reasons I know an SG NS2 server would thrive easily, is that its one of those games that has less good servers than it playerbase needs. When I get on, generally there is only 1 or 2 decent ping servers with player slots (I live in the US, so any server US base generally = good ping). Both those servers usually have player slots because they lag like shit lategame (People hosting off their computer). Therefore, if we have an NS2 server and it has at least one person in it, 60% of the time its going to be at the top of the list for US players. Link to comment

There really are very few quality servers to play on , most others are run from someones home PC . If we act fast, we can attract a lot of players .
