Vent trouble

As some of you know, I've been having trouble in vent with mic. So I don't get on much. Keeps playing repeated "key clicks" even though I have it turned off. And also trouble with stereo mix, which I have disabled and muted. Mic work in game, but all kinds of fail in vent. Any suggestions on what I should look at in setup? When I test it seems fine on playback (most the time but not always).

Maybe checking the record and playback sources in vent. Sometimes a slight difference is all it takes to make something messed up. Do you have a USB headset?

No plugs in regular mic/ speaker jacks. Would that be better?

Well with USB it would show up as a seperate audio source from your sound card. Makes it easier to make sure your stuff is confirgured correctly. Maybe take us some SS of your setups to help determine what is going on.
