[Answered] Tripmines in TTT

Whenever I try to place tripmines on the ground, I always get a message that reads "invalid position" or something of that sort. Can someone explain why?

You may need to crouch. You have to be within a certain distance and I don't think standing up works but I'm not sure. The ground should be a valid place to place it.

Yea, you pretty much have to be right next to the surface you are placing the mine on. Crouching should help and if you are placing it on a wall, try and change your position and get closer if it doesn't let you place it then first time. I have noticed that some surfaces will not let you place mines, like cabinets so keep that in mind.

Make sure that you are directly facing the surface on which you want to place your mine on. Normally, crouching makes it a lot easier.
