  1. Hey guys i'm Krest` the maker of the map, just wanted to say that whether the map stays or not I really appreciate the constructive critisiem provided so far. I should say this though - the map was originaly built for a community i play on that has a lot of differeces to your server. Because of those differences CT's are usually more experienced players and have it easier to stop the rebels. That is why this map is T-sided, because I personally enjoy this kind of maps. Other than that, again, thanks for all the "play-testing" so far i'll keep working on the map for the future and see how i develop it
  2. What's wrong with 4 corners? the only bug i knew of was the flickering between green/red, which is fixed already. Other than that it works properly.
  3. Hey guys, i'm the guy who ported that lego fix version. ill write some details here about the map and you can choose whether you deem it worth enough to make the switch. First as mentioned > In soccer i re-added the counter that use to exist in CSGO. I also added the random cubes game again (used to be in CSS as well but completely deleted in CSGO port) Added a radar for the map. Added 2 new songs to disco. Fixed the flickering at the four corners game. Replaced the screaming sound at chairs game with a different sound.(shit was annoying.) Fixed a lot of mobility issues in the map (having to duck while climbing the ladders from CT spawn/Soccer) Added to ability for T's to climb above their cell's door (used to be in CSS version but CSGO player height changed and stopped working.) Added 2 small secrets (shouldn't impact game-play too much). Re-textured the big speakers at disco/vip room. Re-aligned a lot of the textures(For obvious aesthetics) VIP room can now switch between a few songs. FPS-Optimized the map (although it's a pretty light map). There might be some more small things (like being able to completely kill the ball if you want) that weren't in the original version but i decided to improve on.
  4. New version being uploaded right now(will take a few hrs) jb_tropical_island_v2. Mainly: BSP size reduced,Down to 139mb un-packed, 47mb packed with 7zip). Fixed the bug with car being able to escape its chamber. Removed the Jetpack at CT spawn. all other Jetpacks remain. (2 others jetpacks, that only spawn at "Rebel day", one on top of offices and one on top of KZ). Added a small boat behind CT spawn, only 1 driver can drive it at a time. (Experimental don't be surprised if doesn't work). Other minor changes. Also not sure what caused the boats bug but i have changed their behavior to try and fix them.
  5. Hey guys, just wanted to say first that even if you do choose to remove the map, it's fine by me no hard feelings. I do appreciate the discussion and constructive criticism. As mentioned above i did find the problem that caused my map to weigh way more than it should of have. I have just reduced it by 45% in size, which should make it an above average map size, but not huge like it used to be. Car problem: will be fixed in the next update. Now the balancing issue. I personally play a lot of Jailbreak on a different community (different lang so not much of a competitor to you guys) In my community the CT's are usually a bit more experienced and so are the rebels. Which makes the rounds more interesting in that sense(a lot of fighting and then playing normal instead of freedays like you guys describe) I made the map T sided intentionally because i really liked maps that had that aspect (clouds? lego? ba jail rebel?) I understand it might not fit this communitys play style (on my community for instance we play with sv airaccelerate 100, and a parachute) About the boats - i will look into that, some things you can't account for until you see them in game. BTW - there is a portal to the other island, you don't have to use the boats.
  6. Update: Decided to make the main version in English and have some elements of my language in it. either way, the English version (and the only version) is being uploaded right now. Hoping to get some constructing feedback as the map is played (bug reports/Suggestions)!
  7. It can be done al though i don't think it should be a big problem. Most of the Hebrew in this map is to explain how the games work, something that could be figured out after playing them a couple of times. As well as just giving the buildings names. I'll see what i can do though *decided i'll do this, will take a few days though.

  9. Hey guys i'm Krest` the maker of this map. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up, i'll be releasing a newer version this weekend with a lot of FPS improvements and some gameplay changes. On top of that i have taken into consideration the possibility of some server owners not wanting Rebel round in their server and have added an admin room to toggle it off for the coming rounds (admin room-only accessible via no clip.) it can be toggled on/off any round and will last until a map change. Also, i believe the map file size will be lower. Thanks for considering adding my map, Krest`.
