Ohh alright!
Well, this guy has more lead-style guitar playing, as opposed to some folk guitarists (more pattern-based finger picking).
But you can see he still uses his thumb as bass (6th string) and plays the melody with the middle and index finger on the higher strings/notes.
I would suggest learning guitar scales, like a blues scale for example, and move on to others; pentatonic, dorian, etc.
I started learning finger picking with guys like Leonard Cohen (Suzanne) and Dave Van Ronk (Green Green Rocky Road).
I think, after a while, the most important thing is to jam out and have fun, even if it sounds bad.
